Emergency Medical Responder Instructor Transfer

The purpose of the Emergency Medical Responder Instructor Transfer course is to train current Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructors to teach the Emergency Medical Responder, First Responder and Marine Advanced First Aid courses.

Prerequisites:

  • Proof of current status as a Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor
  • Proof of current Emergency Medical Responder or higher through a provincial/territorial or federal organization with proof of current CPR-HCP certification
  • And/or submit a Canadian Red Cross FR & EMR Responder Progress Log Skills Competency Checklist to document their field experience. The candidate must successfully complete all of the skills listed on the Progress Log.
  • 19 yrs of age or older

Recognition:
Successful candidates are certified as Canadian Red Cross Emergency Medical Responder Instructors for 3 years and receive a wallet card upon completion of the pre-course, course and post-course assignments with a minimum mark of 80%.
